About the photographer.

Friday, September 1, 2006

I have been a photographer most of my life. I received my first camera -- a Polaroid Big Swinger 3000 -- when I was six, and my first real SLR in high school.

My interest in photography flourished in college and continued throughout my adulthood, particularly during the childhood of my children, when I shot thousands of images of my sons.

On July 1, 2006, after 10 years of teaching, I resigned my position of professor at a Richmond-based graduate school and undertook photography full-time -- a decision I have never regretted.

I welcome your comments about my work. Feel free to send an email. The address is in the dark grey bar at the bottom of this page.

And, please check back periodically, as I add images to this site regularly.

Thanks,

-Tim Chumley
